I want to tell you about a servant hearted lady, named Vera, who has graciously volunteered at Texoma Medical Center for the past 28 years. Vera is the oldest volunteer at TMC, and she is also among the top three volunteers who have served the most years at the hospital. This remarkable lady has personally seen nearly a century of history unfold. Her wisdom and servant hearted nature has served thousands of families in north Texas. Over the years she has volunteered a total of 17, 703 hours at the hospital doing various tasks. At the ripe age of 97 years, she still kindly greets patients in the ICU waiting room twice a week. She also brings joy to the hospital's new mothers by putting together educational packets for them. Vera is an inspiration to me as well as anyone who has the privilege of getting to know her.

Is this you? If you were nominated by someone else and do not wish to take part in this contest, opt out here.
