Selma W.

Lansing, IN
Nominated by Gail Hack

Volunteered for:

Fair Meadows Community Church

Length of Service:

20 hours per month for 50 years

February 25, 2014

I would like to nominate one of the most wonderful, car-
ing and energetic people I
know, my mom. At 90 years
young her main interest in
life are her family and her
faith. She has volunteered at her church for over 50
years. From teaching sun-
day school, doing bookkeep-
ing, being Sunday counter of
the offering, bringing baked
or cooked food to functions,
helping at vacation bible
school and her big claim to
fame is being called the
"money lady" at the Friday
nights "Warehouse Club" in
the church fellowship hall.
Here they supply junior high
kids, from the community, a
place for safe entertainment.
With her hearing aides turn-
ed down due to karaoke go-
ing on and seventy talking
teenagers she cashiers with
a smile.
I hope you consider all my
mom has done for her church and community and
vote for this special lady.
Thank you.
