Lu was raised by parents who always helped neighbors...she is a very outgoing person and relates well with everyone. She definitely deserves to be recognized for her on-going volunteering which includes:
1. Community Partners involves driving patients to Duluth MN - 65 miles round trip-7 hours each.
2. Socially Active Seniors -shops and cooks luncheons. Makes 17 pies each year for the July 4th pie sale.
3. Habitat - Financial Chair one year and helped build 2 homes
4. Drove a 92 y/o Lady to Duluth MN for dialysis for a year
5. Organizes and serves funerals at her Church - 10 years.
6. Makes and gives 70 jars of Apple sauce, apple butter and pickles to seniors - 4 years and counting
7. Drives elderly to do their shopping - 3 years and counting
8. Picks up elderly for social functions - 6 years and counting
9. Helps a young mother with her start-up home business
10.Rotary Medical Mission to Peru & Honduras 2 trips
11. Knits hundreds of caps/mittens for Rotary Christmas & local elementary schools -6 years and counting
12. Hosts foreign exchange students twice
