Bradley Free Clinic

February 28, 2014

We would like to nominate Lorene Crawford for Virginia's Outstanding Senior Volunteer Award.
Twenty-five years ago after the death of her husband and accepting a co-worker's invitation, Lorene Crawford began volunteering at the Bradley Free Clinic. Although she volunteers at her church and a local food bank she still finds time to volunteer at the clinic twenty-five hours each month. Her service impacts every department at the clinic. After twenty-five years she understands the workings of the clinic, realizing needs before being asked to take on a task. She sees something that needs to be done and does it, without prompting, supervision, or instruction. Lorene is one of the most thoughtful, kind, and caring individuals you could ever have the good fortune to meet.
Our Executive Director, Estelle, has this to say about Lorene:
Because she is such an integral part of the clinic's fabric she can anticipate staff members needs and jumps in immediately to assist. She has performed every task here in our medical and dental clinics short of brain and oral surgeries!

Is this you? If you were nominated by someone else and do not wish to take part in this contest, opt out here.
