My mother in law is my "wonder woman". 1-2 times a week she goes to the humane society to be a cat cuddler, she also grooms them and l"loves" them. She occasionally volunteers for spay day for feral cats.
One day a week she goes to the food bank and puts in a long day there. I think organizing and filling boxes of food for distribution to local centers.
Then there's meals on wheels, 2 days a week she would go and help prepare bags of food, help to divvy up the hot meal, and then goes out to be a greeter , the one that goes to door and hands the meal over. On Fridays, she oversaw operations, and did it well. Although she never bargained for that job, she did gracefully. Meals on wheels was recently taken over by a new company. She is currently not involved.
Then there are the many " odd jobs" she undertakes, stuffing bags for various races and other events. Shes always helping someone. I love her and she deserves some recognition.
