Della got involved through RSVP. Della enjoys volunteering because she likes the involvement with the people she works with and feels like she's making at her age. Della impact services on many levels; maintaining patient records, mailings, provide front line informational knowledge to the public.
Della has been recognized at our local YMCA as volunteer of the year, RSVP volunteer of the year for the most hours (2800 hours), Della is on the Board of Directors for CWI for 12 years, Della has volunteered at Warren County Tourism, Caratos, Prospect School, Double Hole in the Woods Camp, ADK, Della knits Afghans for Moreau Community Center to be to be given to the South Glens Falls High School students at the Annual Marathon Dance. Della knits and crochets blankets for the Snuggery and pediatrics at Glens Falls Hospital.
The high light of everyday is knowing she has given a smile to a patient or a hug to a needy friend or a helping hand to an office worker. She's made many good friends and has met many good people.
