Cornelia is known as "Ms. Happy" among the female prison inmates she visits on a weekly basis, encouraging them, listening to them, and conversing with them about God and faith. At the age of 83 she's not afraid of anything and is typically the life of whatever party she's at. She'll spend time with anybody - children at church, those in prison, young adults with kids, and fellow friends her own age. She does everything behind the scenes, with little recognition. I once bumped into her when she had a pig nose strapped to her face. She was getting prepared to tell a story in full character with a group of children. If I ever see her on her way to someone's home, you can guarantee she's prepared a dish or plate of goodies. On top of this, snakebites and motorcycle accidents at the age of 80, do nothing to slow her down. Ms. Happy is quite the volunteer!
