Charles J.

Keyser, WV
Nominated by Lindy Shank

Volunteered for:

Calvary United Methodist Church

Length of Service:

30 hours per month for 8 years

February 5, 2014

Charlie is the "go-to" person on the church Trustees. Anything that goes wrong with the church building or parsonage is immediately repaired. For example, just recently he has replaced a hot water tank in the church office, repaired the electric motor which operates the pipe organ, and restored the kitchen fan for use. He turns the heat/AC on and off for every service, checks doors, etc and removes snow and ice on the sidewalks. These are just routine tasks he takes care of in addition to the other related Trustee duties. He often spends his own money for parts and accessories and uses his personal vehicle for church errands.
Charlie also serves as a Sunday School teacher and as music librarian for the Choir. He has a great personality and the church is blessed to have such a wonderful volunteer.
I value him as a fellow Trustee and as a friend.
