Cathy is one of the most upbeat positive people I know. She constantly gives of herself with no questions asked and continually has a positive attitude. In the many years I've known her I've never heard her complain. She loves life and makes a get- together fun for everyone. She has deep Faith and trust in God.

Cathy was a school teacher for many years, a single mom with a "challenged daughter". She left teaching, remarried after many years to a wonderful man and was in the Corporate world. A few years ago she made the decision to move her daughter to Family Haven/Fontbonne group home. It is a wonderful home; only 6 residents, they are all friends and do lots of fun activities together. Cathy was involved with this Home for many years prior to her daughter living there. She is very much involved with her daughter's care, well being, fund raising, and spends quality time alone with her. Her daughter holds a p.t. job and is the woman she is today because of the training and love Cathy has given her. Cathy's husband passed away a few years ago from cancer, she cared for him up until the moment he left this world. They had a wonderful marriage. She has many many friends and different circles of friendships. She retired from Ernst & Young a few years ago.

Cathy also volunteers at Rocky River Senior Center and Crestmont Nursing Facility. She took care of her dear mother until she passed and continues to go and volunteer at this home.

Cathy is so upbeat, energetic, and willing to help wherever she can. She has an infectious laugh. She is a role model to many people. She may have her "down" times but it doesn't show and she doesn't allow it to infringe on the present moment.

Cathy definitely deserves recognition and an award. Thank you,
