Sharon Harlo came to our agency freshly out of retirement and wanting to use her skills to give back. She had worked in the for-profit world her whole life but was already an avid volunteer with Christ Child Society, another non-profit that provides clothing to children in need. She wasn't quite sure what to expect in working with a victim services agency that helps survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault but she fit in with our team right away and has been a dedicated receptionist consistently for four years. Sharon was the 2012 volunteer of the year with our office, accumulating about a thousand annual hours of service. Sharon handles change and sensitive information very well. She also enjoys helping train newer volunteers. One of the most wonderful things about Sharon is her willingness to lend a hand to whatever project is in need of help.
