A servant leader at heart and in deeds, Robert Husted takes action to address needs in his community and help make countless lives better. Over the years Bob has been a great friend to the less fortunate. He believes in the importance of a healthy body, mind, and spirit. And he pays it forward. Ask him why and Bob says that "It's rewarding to see and be a part of progress."

His 15 years with Meals on Wheels brings comfort and nourishment to grateful clients and leadership to the Board of Directors as their Chairman. With the Farmers Market Board he has been a champion in promoting access to local produce and products, serving agricultural sustainment and business growth. Bob is never one to blow his own horn, but he sure can ring a bell and can be counted on by the Rotary Club of Lexington to raise funds for the Salvation Army kettle.

People of all ages and backgrounds have counted on Bob's compassion and concern too. During his service with Habitat for Humanity of Lexington, he led the Board, volunteered at the ReStore, and helped construct and provide new, affordable housing to many families. Bob participated with the Davidson County Criminal Justice Partnership Board, implementing and supporting prevention and intervention programs with measurable success. Bleachers or boardroom, he has been no stranger to years of getting his feet wet or hands sticky to enhance the quality of lives and organizations as a proud Dad timing at his daughter's swim meets or as a Trustee for the University of the South, Sewanee or making sausage for an annual fundraiser at Grace Episcopal Church.

Bob is truly dedicated to service and deserving of well-earned recognition he never seeks. Your consideration and vote for Robert Husted is greatly appreciated!
