Fred, a retired Army Artillery officer, brought his artillery knowledge to a group who are restoring a WW II shore battery, within the DE Seashore Park grounds at Ft. Miles, Lewes, DE. He works on the coastal gun emplacements and donated artillery every Thursday, and works additional hours every week in his garage cleaning metal parts to be re-installed in the guns that are now on public display at the park.

At the Lewes, DE, Meals On Wheels he and his wife drive to the Center, gather prepared meals, and take them to shuts-in several days each week in all types of weather.
