Del identified the fact that many children did not have enough to eat on the weekend when they were not at school receiving free lunch. She oversees the H2H project, going to local food banks to obtain the food, overseeing what is provided each week, coordinating volunteers to pack and distribute the bags weekly. Del quietly goes about her work because she loves children. This year, we are providing for 170 children, up from 143 last year.
Del also volunteers 1 afternoon per week on the pediatric unit at Bronson Hospital, where she plays, sits with, or reads to the ill children. I am in awe of her kindness and dedication to the needs of kids.
