Clarence is a good and Godly man who loves to volunteer his time and skills to helping those in need! He wears many hats as a volunteer, as he volunteers for several different organizations.
Here at Gordon Hospice House, Clarence greets families, loved ones, and others as they come in and provide them with information they need. He answers phones, etc. Clarence also sits with patients that don't have anyone to visit them and spends quality time with them, letting them know someone cares about them and to make them feel loved. He also helps with feeding patients.
Clarence also volunteers with his church, spending time helping out with fundraisers, and anything the church might need help with.
He is also part of the Baptist Men's Disaster Relief through his church. He goes to different parts of the country whenever there is a disaster to help victims of the disaster to get back on their feet. They provide food, help build shelter, etc.
Clarence also volunteers at 5th St. Ministry Current. Services of Fifth Street Ministries include an
Emergency Shelter, Transitional Housing, Night
Shelter, Soup Kitchen, Battered Women's Shelter (My
Sister's House), a healthcare component, a Displaced
Homemaker Program, and an educational component. They strive to address the needs of the impoverished,
the hungry, the abused, the homeless, and those
without health insurance.
Clarence is a wonderful man and is well deserving of being called a Senior Hero!
